TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Seven agents representing professional football players in Indonesia were licensed by the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) after they passed a criteria test in September last year.

Four of the seven agencies are Indonesians. They are Azizah Noor (Viv Football Indo Management), Rudi Hermanto (Indo Bola Mandiri), Eddy Syahputra (Ligina Sportindo) and Ratna Mustika (Champion Stars). The other three are Alex Banmou (a Cameroon national, Bangun Sportindo), Onana Jules (a Cameroon national, Mutiara Hitam Sport & Management), and Nelson Leon Sanchez (a Chilean, PT Sanchezgol Management).

"The FIFA license will open up opportunities for these agents to go international," Ligina owner, Eddy said. "But for now, we will focus on the local talent."

All Indonesia Football Federation (PSSI) Status Conversion and Transfer Status director, Max Boboy said that as FIFA-licensed agents, they can buy and sell players around the world. "They are authorized to do this anywhere," he said.

Meanwhile, four other Indonesian agents who passed the test but who have not been licensed by FIFA are Jaime Rojas, Yeyen Tumena, Slamet Owrip Prihadi and M. Haris Fambudy. "Passing the test is not enough to be an agent licensed by FIFA. They need to fulfill other requirements, like being insured. They must immediately submit the necessary requirements if they want to obtain the FIFA license," Max Boboy said.
